Ingredients

  • 1 lb. pork shoulder or butt, cut into bite sizes
  • 2-3 jalapeño or 2 bell pepper (if low spice is preferred)
  • 1 English cucumber, cut into matchsticks
  • Green onion
  • Soy sauce

For marinate:

  • 1 Tbsp mirin
  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • 1 Tbsp chopped garlic
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Directions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine pork and marinate ingredients and marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  2. Heat a work or a skillet over high heat; add cooking oil and swirl to coat. Add marinated pork, cook 8 to 10 minutes or until 3/4 way cooked and golden edges.
  3. Drizzle soy sauce around edge of wok. Soy sauce will evaporate and gives a smokey flavor to pork.
  4. Add serrano and stir everything together about 1 minute. Remove from heat and transfer to a serving plate. Garnish with sesame seeds and cucumber matchsticks. Enjoy!

Tips

Cook pork in portions to keep it from steaming.
