Ingredients
- 1 lb. pork shoulder or butt, cut into bite sizes
- 2-3 jalapeño or 2 bell pepper (if low spice is preferred)
- 1 English cucumber, cut into matchsticks
- Green onion
- Soy sauce
For marinate:
- 1 Tbsp mirin
- 1 Tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- 1 Tbsp chopped garlic
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
Directions
- In a mixing bowl, combine pork and marinate ingredients and marinate for at least 10 minutes.
- Heat a work or a skillet over high heat; add cooking oil and swirl to coat. Add marinated pork, cook 8 to 10 minutes or until 3/4 way cooked and golden edges.
- Drizzle soy sauce around edge of wok. Soy sauce will evaporate and gives a smokey flavor to pork.
- Add serrano and stir everything together about 1 minute. Remove from heat and transfer to a serving plate. Garnish with sesame seeds and cucumber matchsticks. Enjoy!
Tips
Cook pork in portions to keep it from steaming.
